Directions A Dream Come True!! India School Finds New Home!!! September 4, 2007  The India School of Dance Music and Theatre and its partners The Malayali Association, The India Association of Manitoba and West Indian Indo-Canadian Cultural Organization of Manitoba are in the process of acquiring a new building at 479 St. Mary’s Road. A dream come true and a vision within reach with a consortium that can work together in a secular vibrant and creative environment. The building is 16,230 sq. ft. on 1.8 acres of land with ample parking space; the main hall accommodates over 600 people and there are multiple rooms of varying sizes.   The India School is an established arts institute with over twenty eight years of service to the community. As a registered non-profit organization it has taken the lead in acquiring this property for one million dollars with the closing date as Nov 1, 2007.  The fundraising committee is approaching friends and well wishers to help raise an interest free loan of one million dollars so that the building will be mortgage free. Individuals who wish to donate monies will be issued income tax receipts from the India School. The three levels of government, foundations, corporations and individuals are being approached in order to raise money to pay off the loan in three to five years.  We have an outstanding group of volunteers with a variety of skills that are willing to commit their time to making this project a success and we are counting on your generosity to achieve this goal.
