Bollywood Dance

Bollywood is the Eastern Hollywood for movies.  With the movie “ Slum Dog Millionaire” taking centre stage at the Academy Awards in 2009, there seems to be a real fascination for the Bollywood dance style. Bollywood as a dance form borrows heavily from the classical dance styles, uses moves from several folk dances like Bhangra, resulting in a fusion of dance forms, creating a new global understanding and preference for Indian music and dance. In response to the deluge of calls and inquiries to teach this morphing of many styles, India School will begin with enrolment of students in this course in Term II – January 2011.
